This basic machining course for entry-level manufacturing workers introduces the fundamentals of operating  machine tools such as lathes, mills, and drill presses. Participants learn essential concepts like reading blueprints, measuring with precision instruments, feeds & speeds, cutters, and process thinking. This course offers  optional hands-on projects that can be done on their employers equipment. This course is ideal for entry-level  CNC machinists, tool, die & mold makers, machine builders, maintenance technicians and more.

CNC Milling & Turning Basics

This basic CNC machining course for entry-level manufacturing workers introduces the fundamentals of operating and programming CNC mills and lathes. Participants learn essential concepts like reading blueprints, feeds & speeds, cutters, G & M code writing & troubleshooting, and process thinking. This course offers hands-on projects using an online simulator. This course is ideal for entry-level CNC machinists, tool, die & mold makers, machine builders, maintenance technicians and more.

Introduction to Robotics Programming & Troubleshooting

Problem Solving Training

Problem-Solving Principles for Non-Technical Personnel

In this one-day training workshop, participants learn a practical approach to solving various business and process related problems.  A 5-step method captures a clear definition of what’s gone wrong, selection of the best of several possible solutions and then verification of the solution’s effectiveness.  By having a consistent approach and familiarity with various problem solving tools, individuals can efficiently and effectively work individually or together to solve problems and prevent them from recurring.

Quality Training

Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA)

FMEA teaches a structured method for anticipating problems and developing controls to prevent defects or failures. While FMEA is most fruitful as a proactive quality improvement tool implemented during product and process development, it can also be effectively applied as a continuous improvement tool after a product launch. Versions are available for AIAG 4th edition or the AIAG & VDA FMEA approach.

Lean Academy
