What Is Purpose Driven Leadership Training?

Purpose Driven Leadership Training has been designed specifically for new and seasoned leaders to help them bring out the best in the people they lead. This program focuses on “turning the mirror” towards ourselves to recognize how our leadership influences those we lead, which directly impacts engagement and retention within the company. This training is designed to be a catalyst for continuous personal and professional development.

Who is it for?

This leadership training program will benefit anyone who is interested in enhancing their leadership, communication, or teamwork abilities. The curriculum has been developed to be relevant to leaders at all levels and to help enhance the way these managers interact with and lead their teams. Every class has a unique group of participants from various backgrounds, including: manufacturing, human resources, engineering, finance, operations, and executive leadership.

This program consists of 4-hour sessions that take place virtually over 6 weeks or in person over 8 weeks. In these sessions you will cover:

  • Leadership Essentials: We start by focusing on the most essential part of leadership: trust. Participants will be invited to reflect on their own trustworthiness as a leader and how that impacts their teams.
  • Masterful Communication: Participants will take a DiSC® assessment to determine their own personal communication style while learning how to recognize and adapt to other styles, fostering stronger relationships.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Participants will take the Emotional Intelligence 2.0 assessment to gain insight into their ability to identify and regulate their own emotions as well as recognize and adapt to the emotions of others. 
  • Giving Feedback & Coaching Conversations: Participants will learn various models for how to give and solicit feedback and how to have productive coaching conversations.
  • Situational Leadership: One size does not fit all. Participants will learn how to customize their management style to motivate employees at all levels of development.
  • Skills Practice: In these skills practice sessions, participants will take part in interactive group activities and peer-led discussions about real work issues, and practice how to prepare and hold difficult conversations that build trust and accountability.

In Person Training Program Details

In person training takes place at the Frontline Training Solutions Training Center in Grand Rapids, MI. Class sizes are limited to 10–20 participants so that interaction and learning are maximized.

Purpose Driven Leadership Training in person training includes:

  • 26 hours of direct leadership training and application
  • Books, assessments, and participant workbook
  • Surveys taken before and after training to measure performance changes
  • Action plans
  • Coaching forms provided to supervisors of attendees to facilitate continuous development
  • Full hot breakfast for half-day learning sessions; continental breakfast for two-hour skills practice sessions
