What You Will Learn
Advanced emotional intelligence is a customizable training that provides an opportunity to help an employee with a performance plan or for greater development in general. This is a good resource for leaders or others who struggle with managing interpersonal relationships, stress, and reactive behaviors that are not appropriate in the workplace.
The instrument used for this specific coaching is the EQ-i2.0 assessment, which is a highly credible tool to assess and measure 15 “subscales” of EQ (emotional intelligence), which include: self-actualization, self-regard, emotional self-awareness, emotional expression, interpersonal, assertiveness, empathy, independence, social-responsibility, problem-solving, flexibility, reality testing, stress tolerance, impulse control, and optimism. A coach will review and debrief the assessment results to help the individual see where their strengths are and opportunity areas that could use development. What makes this a fascinating tool is the immediate opportunity to focus specifically in areas where performance and behavior can see real change. The coach will work alongside the individual to discover barriers which may be impeding that subscale’s development, insight to how these barriers may be impacting the individual or others and develop action items to make necessary changes for development and hitting expectations and goals.
