What Is Leading Change?
Everywhere we look, things are changing. And our places of work are no different. Increasingly, change in the workplace produces anxiety, frustration, and fear for those immediately impacted by change and for those trying to determine the best way forward. Understanding these reactions and bringing an intentional approach and process is critical to navigating change well.
This program will provide a baseline understanding of effective change management starting with an understanding of emotional and psychological responses to change and the impact of organizational culture on change. Special focus will be given to identifying stakeholders and following a specific process for creating and managing, a change plan. Participants will leave with a plan developed for a change initiative they are currently working on as well as a template they can use for future changes, whether large or small.
Leading Change is available in person at our training facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in a virtual training format, or onsite at your company anywhere in the country.

Due to ongoing transformation within our organization, I was looking for guidance on how to best manage through the changes. I recently attended the training on Leading Change. I was excited to attend this course because I had been promoted to a new position that came with the responsibility of changing the culture and effectively communicating our new culture into this line of business. Nathan provided a course outline and worksheet prior to the course which allowed us to prepare for the material and instruction in the course. This allowed everyone to come prepared for excellent discussion around leading change in their roles. The personal impact of this course for me was that it allowed me to prepare for the change, set a clear expectation for my stakeholders and the importance of communication. I would highly recommend this course to anyone that enjoys continuing education and filling your professional toolbox. Even if you have help facilitate change in your current role, this course will benefit you by providing clear direction and a road map to success while leading change.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Someone once said, “If you don’t manage the change in your organization, the change will manage you.” Many organizations are very particular in planning projects and initiatives but fail to consider the human impact of those changes which some studies indicate results in a nearly 2/3 failure rate. Increasing a focus on the impact of change will increase the likelihood that projects are successful.
