What is Lean Academy?
Frontline Training Solutions’ Lean Academy is a four-hour training course designed to introduce participants to the history, importance, tools, and methods of Lean manufacturing. This introductory program will tie together the principles of Lean and the cultural mindset needed for waste reduction within your operating system.
Participants will learn how an understanding of Lean can drive higher efficiencies, higher profits, lower costs, and gained capacity by exploring the idea that every operational minute must be used for value-add activities. All the ideas presented are applicable to manufacturing and non-manufacturing businesses alike.
No matter the business you are in, performing work in the most efficient way possible is going to be a key element in the retention battle. Not only should we explore ways to be more efficient for efficiency’s sake, but worker satisfaction also grows when the job becomes more productive with less effort.
Lean Academy is available in person at our training facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in a virtual training format, or onsite at your company anywhere in the country.

Benefits of Lean Academy
There are many benefits to bringing Lean Academy into your workplace, such as:
Understand Efficiencies: As your business scales, so should your processes. Understanding efficiency is understanding the ability to achieve an end goal with little to no waste, effort, or energy. This course looks at ways to identify non-value adding activities to increase efficiency and eliminate waste.
Reduce Waste: There are 7 different types of waste that can wear down your productivity and cost your organization dollars that can be used elsewhere. This training identifies the 7 different types of waste and introduces ways to reduce this impact in your day to day life.
Positively Affect Culture: This program equips each participant to be a Lean champion with or without implementing a program within your company. Increasing efficiency adds time back into day and produces consistency which positively affects culture and retention.
