What You Will Learn

In-Person Cost: $1295

Virtual Cost: $1295

This high energy course is delivered over 16-hours of training taking place over four 4-hour sessions virtually or over two back to back full days in person. In these sessions you will cover:

  • The Five Process Groups: Participants will explore the five key process groups that every project follows; initiating, planning, execution, controlling, and closing. These five key processes provide an organizational background to successfully plan, execute, and manage a well-run project.
  • The Triple Constraint: Participants will explore the principle of the triple constraints; cost, time, and scope. Learning how to balance these three factors and how each one impacts the other is key knowledge that everyone must have to manage a successful project.

Participants will also discuss the Ten Project Management Areas:

  • Project Scope Management
  • Project Time Management
  • Project Cost Management
  • Project Quality Management
  • Project Human Resource Management

Benefits of Project Management Essentials

There are many benefits to bringing Project Management Essentials into your workplace, such as:

Complete Projects Faster while Using Less Resources: When you utilize a step by step process to manage projects less mistakes are made, resources are used more effectively, and projects get completed on time!

Improved Team Collaboration: Most projects require groups of people working together towards a common goal, often from many different teams or business units. The training gives you the tools you need to properly manage the project team’s work; helping to eliminate confusion, increase efficiency, and improve your project team’s effectiveness.

Improved Customer Satisfaction: The initiation phase of project management makes sure clients are clear about project objectives and their own expectations. Once you understand their expectations, you can structure clear deliverables and get their approval.

Quickly Resolve Problems: Learning and following project management principles can help you eliminate many potential problems from ever occurring, but we know there will always be problems along the way. Part of the project management process is also knowing how to address these problems, resolve them as quickly as possible, and document them to prevent future issues in the same area.
